The Afrodesium universe has always treated civilization’s official explanations with suspicion. In Afrodesium: El Sociedad Del Shitheado, society itself becomes the object under examination.

Institutions promise order. Politics promises representation. Bureaucracy promises consistency. Social rules promise stability. Then ordinary human appetites, ambitions, prejudices, insecurities, loyalties, and absurdities begin interacting with all of them.

The result is a society increasingly skilled at describing its own dysfunction as procedure.

Through political parody, institutional satire, cultural exaggeration, and the deliberately improper logic of Afrodesium, the novel turns respectable systems inside out to examine who gets classified, who gets believed, who gets corrected, and who gets to define what normal was supposed to mean.

Behind the jokes is a larger argument about authority: people build institutions to control human behavior, then act surprised when those institutions begin reflecting the same humans who built them.
