A.I. Reality
Reality becomes fragile when perception can be engineered.
A.I. Reality explores the point where artificial intelligence stops merely interpreting information and begins influencing the reality people believe they inhabit.
Human beings have always depended on imperfect senses, incomplete information, memory, institutions, and other people to decide what is real. Technology promises to improve that process by organizing more information than any individual could possibly understand.
But the same systems capable of clarifying reality can also filter it. They can prioritize some information, suppress other information, predict what a person expects to see, and deliver a version of the world optimized for belief.
Once technology becomes the intermediary between experience and interpretation, the question is no longer simply whether artificial intelligence can be trusted.
The deeper problem is whether people can still recognize the difference between independently observed reality and information arranged specifically for them.
A.I. Reality is speculative science fiction about artificial intelligence, perception, information, technological mediation, human certainty, and the increasingly uncertain boundary between seeing the world and being shown one.
