Poor Black Trash

Satirical Fiction Political & Social Satire Standalone Novel
Everybody wants belonging—until belonging requires admitting what the group actually expects from you.

Identity gets complicated when everybody else already has a version of you.

Poor Black Trash is a political and social satire about belonging, class, race, ideology, respectability, and the competing communities that insist they know what a person is supposed to believe.

Political camps promise identity. Cultural groups promise solidarity. Social class establishes its own expectations. Media converts complicated people into categories that are easier to argue about.

The result is a world in which belonging can become another form of judgment. A person may be considered too conservative in one room, too liberal in another, too poor for some people, too ambitious for others, insufficiently authentic somewhere else, and suspicious almost everywhere.

The satire targets the rituals of political tribes, racial expectations, class aspiration, ideological performance, media narratives, and the curious human tendency to demand individuality for ourselves while assigning everyone else a category.

Everybody wants you to think for yourself. They just become concerned when you reach the wrong conclusion.

Beneath the comedy is a question about identity itself: how much of who we are belongs to us, and how much is negotiated with communities that insist membership carries obligations?

Poor Black Trash is satire about race, class, political belonging, cultural expectation, media, identity, and the uncomfortable spaces where none of the available tribes fit as neatly as they claim.
