YOU

Fiction Psychological Fiction Standalone Novel
The person you understand least may be the one you have spent your entire life calling yourself.

We spend our lives becoming someone before we fully understand who that someone is.

YOU turns the familiar idea of identity inward, examining the distance between the person we believe ourselves to be and the person revealed through choices, relationships, memory, ambition, fear, and consequence.

Everyone carries a private version of themselves. It is built from remembered intentions, explanations, disappointments, victories, regrets, and the stories used to connect them.

Other people see something different. They know the decisions rather than the explanations, the effects rather than the intentions, and the version of us that exists outside our own narration.

Somewhere between those perspectives is the uncomfortable question of whether identity is something we possess or something continually demonstrated.

You are the one person present for every moment of your life— and still may not be its most reliable narrator.

The novel explores self-perception, memory, responsibility, relationships, emotional contradiction, and the human instinct to preserve a coherent image of ourselves even when our choices begin telling a more complicated story.

YOU is psychological fiction about identity, self-knowledge, consequence, perception, and the unsettling process of discovering that becoming honest with yourself may require questioning the person you thought you already knew.
