Cornball Brotha:
The Back Nine Protocol
The Curve is about to remember one of its forgotten geniuses.
Cornball Brotha: The Back Nine Protocol introduces The Curve, a Midwestern neighborhood overflowing with gossip, brilliance, struggle, humor, and forgotten genius. At its center is Mookie Tyles, once a prodigy and now a nearly invisible handyman keeping the dying Funplex alive.
Everything changes when Mookie accidentally reactivates Birdie, a stolen prototype he created when he was only fourteen. What begins as an accident quickly turns him into the viral joke-hero known as Cornball Brotha.
The neighborhood sees a meme. Other people see something much more dangerous.
Corporate overlord Doctor Johnson Wells recognizes the harmonic pulse of a device stolen decades earlier. Street predator Razor Gill sees a rival. Visionary griot Z-Beezy senses the funk awakening. Councilwoman Shavonne Parker, caught between hope and fear, begins uncovering the truth behind Mookie's stolen legacy.
Blending funky satire, psychedelic noir, grounded community drama, surveillance, technology, identity, and neighborhood mythology, Volume I follows the birth of a legend that Mookie never intended to create.
The collision comes at a chaotic carnival, where Cornball Brotha, Razor, and NeuBoCo's elite Club operatives finally meet in open conflict. The Curve is left shaken—but awake—and the forces that wanted Mookie forgotten now know exactly where to find him.
The Story Continues
Mookie's accidental transformation into Cornball Brotha is only the beginning. In Book Two, the struggle for The Curve expands into a fight over memory, emotion, technology, and the soul of the city.
